Cameo Heights Mansion

We appreciate that you mentioned The Vine. And why wouldn't you. After all, most guests find that eating at The Vine @ Cameo Heights Mansion may have been the highlight of their experience, and that is saying quite a bit.

We have really tried to be authentic in every way. There is no advantage in luring people in through tricky photography only to have them disappointed when they arrive. We prefer hearing them say: This is even prettier than it was on the website, which we hear all the time.

We appreciate your concern about cleanliness. It is something we focus upon and train upon all the time. It is apparent that we need to tighten down the hatches a bit more. But your comment about rules? We have so few rules because we hate that guests would have a list of things than can or cannot do. Yet every organization has to have some order and structure, rules if you will, if it is going to be maintained as a first class place. Since I am not sure what rules you might be referring to, I took a minute to record all the "rules" that I can think of that pertain to a guest's stay at Cameo Heights Mansion. 1. No ping pong after 9:00PM. 2. Swim suits are expected when you use the outdoor hot tub or pool and you can't dive into the pool. 3. Breakfast is a single seating beginning at 9:00AM. 4. Park your car in the slot that has your room's name on it. 5. No smoking in the Mansion. 6. No children under 18. 7. You may drink wine in the room but wine spills on the carpet or bedding that require professional cleaning you will have to pay for because the next guests will expect to see it as flawless as you do. 8. No pets. That's it! Which of these rules do you find obnoxious and you would you have us undo?

Susan, we appreciate your review. It would be helpful for us to know whether you were speaking about breakfast or dinner being served more promptly. Either way, it will be given our immediate attention. This is a complaint we recall receiving before so we a bit surprised. We have a different staff for breakfast and dinner service. In either case, perhaps this was just an aberration from our normal hot service. We will certainly talk with both staffs about making sure all main courses are served hot.

Quality in food is somewhat like a story my dad told about buy oats. "“If you want nice fresh oats you have to pay a fair price. If you can be satisfied with oats that have already been thru the horse, that comes a little cheaper.” We are focused upon a quality dining experience, even if that costs a bit more. We think we are providing a "Big City" experience in the small town of Touchet for a lot less than you would pay in the big city.
