The Inn by the Bandstand is a federal style townhouse built in 1809 that is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. The home was built for George Sullivan, a lawyer who was twice New Hampshire state attorney general, a state representative and served as a member of Congress. His father was General John Sullivan, of Bunker Hill fame. Many of the original features of the home survive, including ten working fireplaces, beautiful high ceilings with crown moldings, wide plank wood floors in many of the rooms and a wonderful curved banister rising up to the third floor.
