We had the most amazing stay. Matthew's attention to detail and refinement is impeccable. We loved the room amenities so much that we also purchased 2 bathrobes. The breakfast would rival some of the finest establishments in Galena. Do yourself a favor and book the Jail Hill Inn.
Mathew was so great we were impressed by everything all the extra touches the afternoon snacks were so tasty as well as the breakfast was so thought out and delicious. The accommodations surpass anything I dreamed of the lay out of the back patio is so relaxing. I really cannot come up with anything that didn't impress me. When we come back to Galena we will be booking with The Jail Hill Inn.
As a Galena native, I so appreciated the care and respect that was given to the restoration of this landmark building. Every detail of the Inn was amazingly thought through by the innkeeper. Matthew definitely has the gift of hospitality - the breakfast was superb, the wine and appetizers were wonderful and the room was comfortable, artistic and the perfect getaway for us. Will definitely come back!

Enthusiastic personal touches. Innkeeper available 24/7. Historical Building with modern amenities. Each room has its own unique character. Completely renovated in 2016. Owner has lots of pride in his work and it's shows!

Beautiful place to stay, I love everything about this place. Great decor, excellent service and a wonderful breakfast. This was our second time staying there and plan on staying there again.
